Dave is a partner in the firm's labor and employment
law group. Dave represents management in connection with a wide variety of labor and employment issues including union
avoidance, union campaigns and elections, arbitrations, collective bargaining, unfair labor practice proceedings, discrimination
claims and litigation, and consultations to reduce litigation risks.
He has a great deal of experience in working
with hospitals and other health care organizations. He has been an active member of the American Health Lawyers
Association and its predecessor American Academy of Healthcare Attorneys. From 1998 to 2001, he served as chair
of the Labor, OSHA and Human Resources Committee of AHLA. He also actively participates on the
Labor Relations Advisory Committee, a private group of attorneys from prominent firms across the country who represent
hospitals on labor and employment matters. Additionally, he is a member of the American Bar Association Health
Law Section and the Greater Kansas City Society of Healthcare Attorneys.
